Grassmaster Lawn Care
Lawn care and landscaping site built to win local search across Woodinville, Bothell, and Redmond — fast, mobile-first, and engineered for Google's local pack.
Grassmaster is a lawn care and landscaping company serving homeowners across Woodinville, Bothell, Redmond, and the surrounding Eastside. Their old site loaded slowly, ranked for almost nothing, and sent almost no leads. We rebuilt it as a local SEO foundation — fast, structured, and written for how homeowners in King County actually search.
The problem with most lawn care websites
Local service sites in this market all look the same: a stock photo of grass, a phone number buried in the footer, a generic “Services” page that lists mowing, edging, and fertilization without anchoring any of it to a real place. Google has no reason to rank a site like that above the dozens of competitors doing the exact same thing.
Grassmaster had the same problem. They were a strong operator with years of reputation in Woodinville, and the website was actively hiding that.
Local SEO strategy
The rebuild started from what homeowners in the 98072, 98011, and 98052 ZIP codes actually type into Google. “Lawn mowing Woodinville.” “Landscaping company near me.” “Yard cleanup Bothell.” Head terms, long-tail terms, and the seasonal ones — spring cleanup, fall leaf removal, pre-emergent application.
Every one of those queries got mapped to a page, and every page got:
- A primary H1 that matches search intent, not marketing copy
- A clear service-area signal in the first 100 words — city, neighborhoods, ZIP
- Internal links to related services and the free quote form
- LocalBusiness and Service schema so Google knows exactly what’s offered, where, and by whom
- Unique body content — no duplicated blocks across city pages
Technical SEO
A great content strategy on a slow site is a waste. We built Grassmaster on a static architecture with Cloudflare in front, and the site now scores in the high 90s on mobile PageSpeed. Core Web Vitals all green. Images served in modern formats with proper dimensions. No render-blocking JavaScript. No third-party chat widget eating 600ms of load time.
Google rewards speed in local search, and homeowners on a phone in their backyard don’t wait for a slow site to load before tapping the next result.
Conversion, not just traffic
Ranking is half the job. The site had to turn visits into booked jobs. Every page leads to one of two actions: call the business directly or request a free quote. The quote form is short — name, address, service needed — because every extra field is a lost lead. Phone numbers are tap-to-call on mobile and visible above the fold on every page.

- Ranks on page one for core service + city queries across the Woodinville, Bothell, and Redmond market
- Loads in under two seconds on mobile 4G
- Converts quote requests at a meaningfully higher rate than the previous site
